Students

Possibly more than any other influence, the Detectives in the Classroom investigations were shaped by students' responses to the investigations during pilot-testing. The speed with which hands were raised to answer a particular question, the degree to which an assignment kept students "on task," the facial expression and tone of voice that accompanied the question, "Are we going to do that again?" as well as direct feedback, resulted in the creation, refinement, and/or removal of portions of most of the investigations.
